My guess is that you could get the RNS-510 as an option on a Swedish market B6 Passat, so some RNS-510 models should work. Since your RNS-510 is newer than your car, though, you may have to update your CANbus controller. So, here's what you need to know. There is a special wire called the 'K-wire' on some aftermarket harnesses it's labeled the amp remote wire. Find out which wire is the k-wire on your factory head unit and make sure that NOTHING is connected to it on the new harness. That is the only issue you should have. The trick was to remove the fuse, wait about 30 seconds, and reinstate the fuse back in its slot. Worked like a charm every time. As to the correct fuse to remove, check the fuse panel, there should be a little guide card with symbols on them. I'll do that once I get home and get the manual back.
